1st increase in ECB rates in 11 years

The European Central Bank (#ECB) raised its three key interest rates by 50 basis points, a first in over 11 years.

The interest rates for the main refinancing operations, the marginal lending facility and the deposit facility were raised to 0.50%, 0.75% and 0.00% respectively.
